Over 125 Years of History & Charm...

Kate Baldwin, of the Baldwin Piano family, constructed the Inn At Jackson as her summer cottage in 1902. Kate known to frequent the Wentworth Hall in Jackson Village as a guest and befriended Katherine Wormeley, another summer Jackson resident. Wormeley's house, now known as the Inn at Thorn Hill was adjacent to the porperty and was designed by world-renowned architect Stanford White (1853-1906). It is believed that Wormeley referred Baldwin to Stanford White for the design of her home.

Kate Baldwin and her relations continued to use the cottage until around 1922 when it was sold to Ella and Arthur Gray. They Gray's were the first to operate the home as a Bed & Breakfast. During their ownership, the cottage became known as Gray's Manor and also was known to have a local Speakeasy in the basement during the Prohibition area.

The Inn has been sold several times since they Gray's sold about 20 years after their purchase. In the 1980's there was a large addition built onto the back of the home to add more guest rooms, and all rooms were converted to have an attached bathroom. Also at this time, the third floor was converted to guest rooms from service quarters.

After falling in love with Jackson, NH and the White Mountains, Anthony Ligato and his daughter Kathryn, purchsed the Inn at Jackson in 2021, fulfilling their dream of owning a historic Inn.
