With an array of local well known ski mountains, Jackson is the perfect central location to explore them all! Black Mountain is right in Jackson, with Cranmore, Bretton Woods and Attitash all within close proximity as well!
Nestlenook is known for their winter rides on one of their custom built sleighs, on a 1.5 mile trail of lights & displays, through the forest of our Farm & along the Ellis River. Your guide will make several stops along the way to tell you history of the property. After your ride warm up next to one of our bon-fires, s'mores kits, enjoy ice skating, & enjoy a cup of complimentary hot chocolate, served all day!
Jackson and the White Mountain National Forest offer a plethora of hiking and biking trails suitable for all levels. The region boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains, waterfalls, and swimming holes, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
Take a 3hr ride to the 6288' summit of Mount Washington– the highest mountain peak in the Northeast– powered by a custom-built biodiesel locomotives! The a trip is an exhilarating journey through history, technology and nature, including about an hour to explore the State Park at the summit.
The Mount Washington Auto Road is a stunning 7.6-mile drive to the highest peak in the Northeast, offering breathtaking views of the White Mountains. Located just 12 minutes away from Gorham, it's easily accessible for visitors to enjoy a unique driving experience or hike to the summit.
North Conway Village is a haven for shoppers, offering a wide range of options from antiques hunting to outlet browsing, all with a breathtaking mountain view. In addition, foodies will find plenty of fine dining and pub hangouts choose from.
For those who love the adrenaline pounding excitement of conquering rugged terrain with a motorized vehicle, there are plenty of areas nearby that allow you to ride. You can push your skills to the limit or explore the nearby area on a lengthier ride.
Jackson Ski Touring Foundation presents state-of-the-art grooming on 100KM of trails through forest and farmland are designed to suit every taste and ability – whether you prefer quiet striding through New England forests or all out skate skiing on an international race course.
Foundation trails also connect with A.M.C. trails in Pinkham Notch and White Mountain National Forest backcountry adventure trails. The Foundation operates under a Special-Use Permit with the White Mountain National Forest and with the cooperation of 76 private landowners and the town of Jackson. The Foundation maintains a courtesy patrol to assist you on the trails if needed and rescue service staff trained and certified with the National Ski Patrol System (NSP). Everyone using the trails must purchase a trail pass or be a season passholder.
Surrounded by stunning mountain views, golfing in the White Mountains is one of its kind. Both the Wentworth Golf Club and the Eagle Mountain House have beautiful courses that are located right in Jackson, with many other courses in the surrounding towns!
